This review is long overdue. Glen Isle is simply magical. The cabins and scenery are incredible, but the true beauty of Glen Isle is the spirit of the incredible individuals that work and take care of it. We stayed here in August for a long weekend with our families and it was truly incredible. Mary Ruth and Brenda are the most welcoming, warm individuals. If you have stumbled upon this piece of magic, I implore you to take the chance and book a room. You will not be disappointed.
We booked Glen View and Evergreen for a small Halloween party. It was perfect. The owners were so accommodating and we had an amazing time. The beds were so comfortable and every thing we needed was a available. We hiked , feed the horses and goats., toured the grounds. Couldn't have ask for a more perfect weekend. Thank you! We will be returning often.
Lovely, camp-like setting with both stream & river flows, and beautifully done bedrooms & baths (the rooms were the first to be updated by current owners, who bought it after it had fallen into disrepair). Comfortable, but unfussy; more accessible than Frisco or Breckenridge. Bonus: Bailey has several welcoming restaurants and bars just a short jaunt up the road, and some cabins have kitchens. You'll love it!
What a lovely weekend! We stayed in the Yucca room of the Gardenspot fourplex cabin. The cabin was well equipped. The bed was so incredibly comfortable. We slept with the windows open and with the cool cross breeze & the sound of the river…. It was such a great nights sleep. We loved the rustic feel of the resort and the great Colorado history it holds. We spent the weekend fly fishing and hiking. It was a perfect base for adventure. Thank you, Brenda, for taking such good care of us. We will be back!
This was our first stay at Glen Isle and it was an amazing experience for our whole family. We all had a great time fishing the river, hiking, and enjoying the gorgeous views. The cabin was clean and well equipped. The staff was all very friendly and the Tuesday night sing-a-long was a ton of fun. Our family enjoyed the peace and quiet and I was able to get a TON of writing done. This would be a great place for a writer's retreat! We'll definitely be back next year.
